Turn-based puzzle

One Life Behind

Every Life leaves a path behind. When it returns as a Ghost, it repeats your old moves on a board that no longer behaves the same way.

A player and two glowing Ghosts labelled 1 and 2 on a dark tile grid, with red walls, echo tiles and a magenta target.

Your past moves don’t stay in the past

Finish a Life and its inputs return as a Ghost. On the next Life, that Ghost repeats them exactly while you move beside it. The trick is planning what that old path will do once the board has changed.

The inputs are the same. The world is not.

Two tiles change the board

A blue tile on the grid beside a Ghost; the panel notes that stepping off a blue tile turns it into a wall.

blue → wall

Blue becomes a wall

Step off a blue tile and it turns solid. The new wall blocks you and your Ghosts alike.

A green tile and a Ghost crossing a purple echo tile; the panel notes that a Ghost can cross things that stop you.

green → echo

Green leaves an echo

Leave a green tile and it fades to an echo. Echoes stop you, but your Ghosts pass straight through.

A move can matter one Life later

A button one Life holds down can keep a door open for the next. Rooms built from buttons, doors and targets become a question of timing — and you often set the answer up a Life earlier.

A Ghost holds a button while the player steps through a door toward the exit.

Eventually, three past Lives are moving with you

Each Ghost repeats exactly what you once did. Later levels have you steer three previous Lives at the same time without losing track of the one you are playing now.

Three Ghosts labelled 1, 2 and 3 lined up alongside the player on the grid, all heading for the exit.

The level select screen: chapters of levels with star ratings.

36 levels across six chapters, building from one Ghost to three.
