This Privacy Policy explains how Open the Door (the “game”), developed and published by Dralu Games (“DRALU”, “we”, “us”), handles information in its Android release. If anything is unclear, contact us at support@getdralu.com.
Accounts
The game has no account system. There is no login, and no email-and-password profile. We do not ask you for your name, email address or phone number to play, and we do not build a first-party player profile.
Data stored on your device
Your gameplay progress and settings are stored locally, in the app’s private on-device storage, so you can keep playing. Alongside them the game keeps a small amount of local state it needs to work correctly: your purchase credits, a short list of up to 64 recently used purchase tokens (so a purchase is applied exactly once), a cached record of whether Remove Ads is owned, the rewarded-ad cooldown, the pacing state for automatic ads, the date Remove Ads was last offered, and whether an in-app review has been requested.
None of this is a personal profile. There is no cloud save, no cross-device sync and no Dralu Games gameplay server behind the game, and Android auto backup is turned off for the game, so this local data is not copied to the device’s system cloud backup. Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the game may remove it.
Purchases
The Android version uses Google Play Billing for optional in-app purchases. Prices are shown and charged by Google Play in your local currency. The first release offers:
- Energy Pack — a consumable purchase that refills energy so you can keep going straight away.
- Too Thin Continue — a consumable purchase that lets you continue the current walk from where you were. You can always take the free restart instead, and taking it does not cost you your permanent progression or upgrades.
- Remove Ads — a one-time purchase that removes the automatic full-screen (interstitial) ads. It does not remove the optional rewarded ads. It is a Google Play entitlement, and your Google Play ownership is what lets it be restored on a new install, without a Dralu Games account.
Advertising
The Android release shows ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). There are two kinds.
Automatic full-screen (interstitial) ads are shown only at natural gameplay breaks — not during active walking, a mini-game or a result screen. While an interstitial is on screen it occupies the display, and you close or dismiss it through the normal ad experience before play continues. If an ad is not available or cannot be loaded, gameplay continues without waiting for it. The Remove Ads purchase turns these automatic ads off.
Rewarded ads are optional and started by you from the status and upgrades area. Watching one rewards 20 coins, with a five-minute cooldown and no per-session limit. They remain available even after buying Remove Ads, and if none is available the game simply continues.
To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners — not Dralu Games — may process device and app information, an advertising identifier where allowed, general location inferred from an IP address, and ad-interaction data, according to your consent and their configuration. You can review how Google uses this information on Google’s “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” page.
Consent and privacy choices
Where it is required, the game uses Google’s applicable consent mechanism — including Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) — to gather your advertising and privacy choices, and UMP stores and uses consent-related signals to apply them. What is shown depends on your region and the applicable rules, so not everyone sees the same prompt. A privacy choices control in the game is intended to let you revisit the choices that apply to you.
Analytics
The game uses Firebase Analytics to understand how it is played. The events it records use fixed names, with values taken from fixed lists or small numbers — for example app starts, how far the walk and door get, when challenges and mini-games begin and finish, how the cycle repeats, where players drop off, and ad-related and purchase-related events. We do not put free-text content, your name, email, phone number or any custom player identifier into analytics, and we do not use it to build a personal profile of you. Google and Firebase may process app usage, device and app information, and their own identifiers in line with their configuration, your consent and their policies.
Crash and error reporting
The game uses Firebase Crashlytics for production crash and error diagnostics. When a failure occurs, the information processed to investigate it may include a crash stack trace, app and device information, a Crashlytics installation identifier, and other technical diagnostic information needed to find and fix the problem.
Google services and technical data
The Google services the game relies on each handle their own part of the data, separately from the state the app keeps on your device:
- Google Play Billing processes your purchase records and tokens to complete and verify purchases, and your Google Play ownership of Remove Ads is what allows it to be restored.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) processes the advertising data described above.
- Google’s User Messaging Platform records and stores your consent-related choices.
- Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics process the usage and diagnostic data described above.
- Google Play In-App Review handles the in-game “Rate Us” prompt.
Each of these processes data according to how it is configured, the choices that apply to you, and its own policies. We describe this at the level we can confirm and do not claim more precision than we have.
Data retention and deletion
Your gameplay progress and settings, and the small local state listed above, stay on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the game; doing either may remove them. Because there is no Dralu Games account and no cloud save, there is no Dralu Games profile or save database for us to delete on request.
Remove Ads ownership is held by Google Play rather than by us, and can be restored from your Google Play account. Google, Firebase, AdMob and Google Play Billing keep the data they process according to their own service policies and the applicable configuration, and we cannot delete Google-held data on your behalf. If you have a question about data handled directly by Dralu Games, contact us at support@getdralu.com.
Data security
The game’s own progress and local state are kept in the app’s private on-device storage. We limit what the game itself collects to what gameplay, purchases, ads, analytics and diagnostics need, and we do not run a Dralu Games server that stores your personal data. The Google services the game uses apply their own security and processing measures to the data they handle. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13, and it is not set up or positioned as a child-directed product.
In the game
The game links to this Privacy Policy and to Support, and it offers a “Rate Us” prompt through Google Play In-App Review. An about and credits screen identifies the game and Dralu Games (DRALU). For support, contact us at support@getdralu.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the game’s services or features change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
